  • Previous experience managing large logistic operations involving maintenance and operations.
  • Retired Army Brigadier General (1 or 2 Star) or retired Army full Colonel (06).
  • Proven experience in Army Aviation Maintenance.
  • Army Rotary Wing Senior command experience
  • Senior Army Aviator
  • Working knowledge of AMCOM
  • Understanding of Army Aviation processes.
  • Army War College graduate
  • Command at Aviation Battalion and/or Brigade command.
  • Preferably commanded an Aviation maintenance unit (AVUM or AVIM).
  • Experience with MS Office software applications.
  • Ability to travel 50% of the time. Desired skills - Officer in the functional Branch "15D" (preferred) or "15A";
  • Previous assignments at AMCOM and/or AMC.
  • Ability to establish appropriate quality control review procedures
  • Ability to resolve and eliminate conflicts

This position will be located at Ft. Rucker, AL.

This is Senior Program Manager position for a large procurement effort in Aviation Maintenance and Supply. Duties will include the following:

Acts as primary customer contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Interface AMCOM and/or AMC. Establishes milestones and monitors adherence to master plans and schedules, identifies program problems and obtains solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications.

Set up meetings and customer calls for Sustainment Services and Technical Services leadership as it relates to capture efforts.
Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract. Develops new business or expands the product line with the customer. Responsible for the cost, schedule and technical performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs. Participates in the negotiation of contract and contract changes.

May directs the work of some employees assigned to the program.

Responsible for coordinating the selection and recruitment of subcontractors and ensuring performance to include contract termination in support of customer directed task orders. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
