This is a confidential search for a dynamic, engaging Director of Sales who will create a new culture of success through dynamic leadership, progressive training and results-driven compensation.The ideal candidate is someone who can bring deep knowledge and strong leadership of a field-based sales organization to take the organization to the next level as they expand and grow. Working with the General Manager, the Director will lead a team of sales associates, work collaboratively with the distribution management team, and proactively enhance and build strong relationships with suppliers.Responsibilities Lead and inspire the sales organization to consistently achieve goals Analyze sales territories, growth potential and competitive landscape to ensure that sales team is correctly deployed, engaged and incentivized Develop a strategic sales plan to advance the company's revenue, profitability and growth with a target of double digit sales growth Develop plans and evaluate performance of individual sales team members for achievement of their sales goals and budgets Develop monthly, quarterly and annual budgets Prepare and present monthly, quarterly and annual sales performance reports to company management Design, implement and monitor compensation plans for each sales representative Develop innovative training programs for sales team in keeping with progressive sales practices Develop product training for sales team that ensures awareness of advanced industry trends Maintain 70% to 80% travel schedule working with sales team members to maintain company visibility, provide feedback relative to sales performance Promote the company to local, regional, national and international constituencies
6+ years of experience in sales of consumer products 4+ years of sales team management experience Bachelor's degree Collaborative and confident, able to work well with everyone and present a polished, executive image Exemplary team building skills Passion for sales process, driven to achieve results and hit numbers Strong business acumen, with forecasting and revenue management experience Sales force development experience Development and management of marketing and promotions Experience with warehousing and distribution operations Experience in vendor relationship management Strong customer relationship management skills Technologically savvy with demonstrated ability to develop and execute a budget with proficiency in Excel and other relevant distribution management software Currently located in Columbus, OH, area or willing to provide own relocation FOR MORE INFORMATIONPlease contact Jane Forbes at jforbes@mcintyreco.com or 614-318-8007.
