Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking Senior Object Oriented Software Development Analysts to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Beavercreek, Ohio. The Northrop Grumman office in Beavercreek, OH, has responsibility for analysis, design, development, test, integration, and maintenance of the Air Force’s Reliability & Maintainability Information System (REMIS) under a contract to the Air Force Materiel Command. The REMIS application is accessible through the Air Force Portal and fully integrated in the Global Combat Support System – Air Force (GCSS-AF).

Applications run on an IBM WebSphere Application Server in a Solaris environment. Presentation uses JSP and Struts technology while the business logic layer employs a mix C++ and J2EE Java code. Persistent data resides in an Oracle 10g database. Various COTS products support an incremental migration approach that interfaces with the existing legacy REMIS system which is coded in SCOBOL and COBOL and runs on Hewlett Packard (Tandem) NonStop servers.

The sucessful candidate will primarily develop and maintain end user applications written in Java interfacing with an Oracle Database, but may also be tasked to code in COBOL and C++. Required experience and education (equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education): 9 years with Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of Java; 7 years with Master's and 3 years of Java; 4 years with Ph.D and 2 years of Java Required: Experience developing highly complex applications with JSP and J2EE Java. Experience with Oracle and Unix. Ability to code in COBOL.

Desired: Experience with Rational Unified Process (RUP) tools, IBM WebSphere, Solaris operating environment, distributed processing and design patterns. Experience with COGNOS Report Net and Framework Manager. Experience programming in COBOL, SCOBOL and SQL in a Hewlett Packard NSK environment. Experience programming in C++ in a Solaris environment.

We will also consider candidates with level 3 experience. Candidate must be a U.S. citizen. Candidate must apply for a National Agency Check (ADP II) through Wright Patterson AFB base security.

The supplier will administer the JPAS security account under their SMO. Supplier will provide exclusive right to represent documentation for this job signed by the candidate upon request from the hiring manager. This job supports a project scheduled to start in Apr. 2010.
