in Adult Health Nursing

The School of Nursing at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro seeks applicants for a new tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Adult Health Nursing. Expectations of the position include teaching in both undergraduate and graduate programs in classroom and clinical settings and developing and maintaining active programs of research and service.
Eligibility for licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina and two years experience in direct patient care as a Registered Nurse is required. Candidates must hold a master’s degree in nursing and a doctoral degree in nursing or a related field. A doctoral degree in nursing is preferred. Teaching experience and a record of research and publication are preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience and credentials.
The UNCG School of Nursing is one of the largest nursing programs in North Carolina with over 1300 students enrolled in BSN, RN-BSN, MSN, MSN/MBA, and PhD programs. The school is known for effectively blending on-line and traditional pedagogies. Masters’ concentrations include Nurse Anesthesia, Adult/Gerontological Nurse Practitioner, Nursing Administration, and Nursing Education. The PhD program is focused on health promotion and health disparities. The School of Nursing is NLNAC and CCNE accredited and is a NLN Center of Excellence in Faculty Development. Faculty in the School of Nursing serve in many leadership positions in the University and in state-wide, regional and national nursing organizations.
