The University of South Alabama Medical Center is a regional referral center for south Alabama, southern Mississippi and the panhandle of Florida. It is also the areas’ only level I trauma center. The University of South Alabama Medical Center is managed by the USA HealthCare Management, LLC.
Utilizes proper body mechanics when moving equipment and/or supplies, weighing up to 50 pounds, necessary to perform essential functions; reports broken or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor/department head; checks and fills par level supply carts according to set schedule; performs cyclical inventory counting; monitors expiration date of supplies to prevent outdated supplies being utilized; pulls and delivers supplies and equipment to departments utilizing rolling carts weighing up to 250 pounds; inventories and replenishes procedural carts to include crash cart and Personal Protective Equipment cart; utilizes a PC or terminal to access the Hospital Information System; documents downtime orders; abides by and enforces hospital policies and adheres to current Infection Control and Safety Standards; communicates and uses appropriate customer relation skills with physicians, patients, families, and health care team in person and via the telephone; responds to overhead pages; regular and prompt attendance and the ability to work schedule as defined and overtime and call as required; related duties as required.
Completion of tenth grade.

Monday - Friday and every other weekend
