The College of Business offers a B.S. in Business with options in Accounting, Finance, Management, and Marketing and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree. The College has about 25 tenure-track fac-ulty that are augmented by an experienced group of professionally-qualified faculty. Faculty members enjoy a highly collegial environment and are committed to excellence in business education. Applicants should be able to teach in at least one of the following areas: tax, governmental accounting, accounting information systems, managerial accounting or financial accounting. A normal teaching load is 6-9 hours per semester. Scholarly research published in respected peer-reviewed journals and service are also expected.
Doctorate in Accounting or an accounting-related field from an AACSB-accredited university, or one that is nearing completion at the time of application.
Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
Demonstrated potential for publishing scholarly research.
Willingness to contribute to the mission of the College through service.
A completed Doctorate in Accounting or an accounting-related field from an AACSB-accredited university, or one that will be completed prior to beginning work at Montana State University.
Ability to teach in more than one accounting-related area.
The successful applicant will be committed to excellence in teaching accounting courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as conducting interesting and thoughtful research that results in publications in respected peer-reviewed journals. In addition the individual should demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, students, and accounting professionals.
In accordance with MSU policy, hiring will be conditional upon successful completion of a pre-employment background check.
