This position involves directly servicing clients via inbound calls, email, and chat on a real time basis with the trading issues that clients encounter; including position management order support, risk analysis, software tutorials, trouble shooting technology issues, along with acquiring potential clients through negotiation and overall market education. The goal is to help clients develop the knowledge, skill, and discipline necessary to be a successful self-directed investor. This position acts as the subject matter expert in trading equities and options and will need to be able to transfer your expertise to your clients. Mentoring clients will take a variety of formats including emails, chats, and phone calls.
Exercise independent decision making ability regarding the client's existing expertise in trading equities and options and provide a high level of courteous and efficient service to clients using highly complex strategies and formulas to assist the client in becoming a self-directed investor
Monitor credit risk and client risk issues including making decisions regarding rate changes, schedules, margins, margin errors, etc.
Assess the dynamic needs of the brokerage operation and provide input and recommendations for process improvement as it relates to current policy, software and systems procedures based on feedback from clients
Advise clients on current positions as well as generation of new strategies through education on financial markets and products to familiarize clients with the company polices and trading philosophies
Create and cultivate a client experience that exceeds the client's expectations through a complete understanding of firm policy while establishing the benchmark for service within the online brokerage industry
Handle complex, high dollar equity, option, future, Forex, bond, and mutual fund transactions quickly and accurately ensuring client's accounts can handle each transaction
Coaching and teaching clients how to execute trades through our proprietary trading software to allow clients to become independent active traders
Support Forex through interaction with outside dealing desk to facilitate orders as well as software support and client education of Forex markets both in general and polices specific to our firm
Train new trade desk associates in areas including technology, client interaction, general trading strategies, learning in-house polices and support for client negotiation
Present for Option Plant in-house client education seminars teaching option, future, and Forex trading strategies in a lager format; classroom setting
Review and critique new software builds both pre and post release to check for issues and generate new ideas for future functionality
Perform essential job functions in a timely and efficient manner while accessing and utilizing various job specific software
Be available as a resource of knowledge and experience to all levels
Bachelor's degree preferred
Series 7 and 63 required
5 years of trading experience preferred
5 years of securities industry knowledge preferred
Possess an extensive knowledge of the stock and derivative markets, technical chart reading as well as margin requirements and complex option trading
Present a positive, professional image
Outstanding multitasking, communication, listening and analytical skills
Proven skills in relationship building, client focus, decision making, and problem solving
Ability to quickly produce clearly written, well-organized documentation
Able to quickly compute mathematical transactions with a high degree of accuracy
Ability to operate Window's based programs which require intermediate computer skills
