Provides high-level skills and understanding of various IT systems technologies. This position is responsible for the first line support, configuration, and troubleshooting of software and hardware systems Performs administration tasks for IT infrastructure to ensure systems are functioning properly and efficiently to support business functions of TBS.

Essential functions:

Administration and support of server environment

Proactively monitors and audits systems to ensure uptime and efficient operation

Provides input for technical documentation

Provides technical guidance and assistance on support related issues

Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis

Troubleshooting system hardware, software, and network systems

Upgrades systems by planning, testing, evaluating and installing software enhancements and patches

Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities

Requirements: Skills Required:

Minimum of 3 years of experience with Microsoft Server Technologies

Understanding of foundational DNS concepts

Understanding of Windows Client / Server operating systems including Windows 2008 R2/2012

Understanding of Powershell for system administration

Experience with Microsoft Exchange 2007/2010

Experience with Microsoft SharePoint 2010

Microsoft Lync experience desired

Microsoft Systems Center administration

Experience with multiple virtualization technologies, including VMWare ESXi hosts

Experience with SAN Storage Arrays including MPIO configuration and Fiber Switches

Understanding of common backup and restore procedures

Excellent written and oral communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

Minimum Requirements:

The candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems from an accredited four-year college or university plus three years’ experience in related field; or any equivalent combination of education and experience. The candidate must possess knowledge of generally accepted IT principles. Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Should have good interpersonal skills, and get along well with others.

Candidate should possess strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as good communication and documentation skills.
