Job Description Summary:
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of multi-state weekly, biweekly and semi-monthly payrolls including off cycle checks for field locations. This position works closely with the Sr. Payroll Manager, HR and Accounting on payroll related issues.

Required Qualifications:
· 2-4 years of experience processing multi-state payroll
· Prior use of ADP WorkForce Now highly desirable
· Ability to work well under pressure and adhere to tight schedules
· Proven excellent organizational and communication skills
· High degree of professionalism
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Working knowledge of payroll best practices
· Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Perform daily payroll department operations
· Ensure all payroll transactions such as timesheets, adjustments, rate changes, tax changes are processed accurately and timely
· Review and analyze reports to ensure high degree of accuracy
· Reconcile payroll prior to transmit and validate confirmed reports
· Review tax and deductions to ensure compliance with federal, state and local law
· Assist with year-end reporting as necessary (W2, W2C, 1099, etc.)
· Work closely with Payroll Management to complete Accounting month end reconciliation

Salary commiserate with experience. Benefits package available: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, vacation, holiday pay. This is a full time permanent position in the Hopkinsville, KY area.
