PENN STATE ERIE, THE BEHREND COLLEGE The Center for eLearning Initiatives at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, is accepting applications for an Instructional Web Technologist. The position is responsible for the installation and maintenance of Drupal, a web content management system (CMS) for online and hybrid courses. Duties include: develop dynamic media, including animations, video and interactive presentations, for online course delivery; document, support and train faculty and staff members on the use of the CMS; research, develop, test and implement web-based technology solutions based on education needs; research, design, develop, test, debug, install, implement and support new features and components of CMS based on educational needs. Strong PHP and javascript skills are required.
Typically requires Associate's degree or higher plus 2 years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire with excellent possibility of continuation.
