Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinates and performs a range of technical functions connected to training and use of film equipment for students. Informs and collaborates with Teaching Assistants (TA’s) on the capabilities of film equipment available for use for class projects. Tracks the lending of this equipment. Position receives moderate supervision.

Typical Duties

Sets up and operates film equipment for students to use when filming class projects. This equipment includes video cameras, audio and digital recorders, lights, tri pods and accessories.

Assists in scheduling loans and returns. Tracks equipment use by students.

Installs, trouble shoots and performs minor maintenance on equipment and systems.

Work with staff TA’s and faculty to mediate and problem solve technology issues as related to film equipment.

Recommends equipment purchases and systems designs.

Organizes and maintains clean and protected environment for equipment.

Performs related job duties as required.

Basic Qualifications
High school graduate plus college level courses in film are encouraged.

Additional Qualifications
Experience working with film makers or photographers preferred.
