Position Summary

Assists Staff Accountants and GL Accountants in preparation of monthly financial statements; and reconciliation of general ledger accounts. Performs various departmental reporting and special projects as needed.

Supervision Exercised

Supervised by the General Ledger –Accountant

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Understand and execute oral and written instructions quickly and efficiently.

Reconcile and record additions to fixed assets.

Clear Accounts Payable and Payroll checks.

Reconcile and post Accounts Receivable.

Inventory control, reconciliation and posting.

Reconcile tax accounts and file tax reports as needed.

Sensitive Key control.

Assists in special projects and GL reconciliation as needed.

Performs additional duties as necessary.

Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions.

Ability to be flexible and move from one task to another easily and quickly.

Ability to exhibit strong initiative and motivational commitment to the organization.

Ability to deal effectively with casino employees and be a team player.

Ability to file, do ten key, and use spreadsheets and word processing on a computer.

Ability to work odd and unusual hours, including weekends and overtime as needed.

Knowledge of general office methods.

Ability to use discretion in working with sensitive and confidential records.

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED Certification.

Two (2) years experience in accounting.

Licensing Status

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License.
