The successful candidate will have experience in and knowledge of global fertilizer product markets including: the influences on supply and demand of major fertilizer commodities within Potassium, Phosphates and Nitrogen; the decision making process of investors and purchasers of these commodities; overall familiarity with the market dynamics shaping the fertilizer sector.The ownership of a strong network in the industry is essential to identify market developments. The role requires communicating with market influencers, learning/knowing/uncovering market trends and developments, and synthesizing this information to develop proprietary intelligence to be used across the market by a variety of constituents.Minimum Required Qualifications:At least 5 years of professional experience3 years experience working in agricultural chemical marketsBS degree minimumStrong analytical skillsCredible contacts in the market and/or a strong understanding of the companies participating in this marketPreferred Qualifications:Prior experience using the Bloomberg Professional terminalAgricultural Economics related degree a plusMBA preferredExperience working for or with an agricultural chemical corporationThe successful individual will be a person with excellent information gathering skills and the ability to develop conclusions on market trends based on defensible and solid analysis.Other responsibilities include sourcing information, reacting to feedback from clients and company stakeholders, and managing ad-hoc projects that are part of the overall product strategy. The candidate will play a central part in the marketing of any product launch.The Analyst will join either of our New York City or Peterborough, New Hampshire offices or choose to telecommute.
