Job Description:

Huntsman currently has an immediate opening for a
dynamic individual with proven capability as a
Laboratory Technician, Entry Level in the McIntosh,
Alabama, manufacturing facility.
Essential responsibilities of this position include but
are not limited to the following:
The Laboratory Technician shall perform routine
analysis, control testing and other laboratory work
connected with raw material, intermediates and
finished goods control as directed by the Lab
Technician’s supervisor; be responsible for properly
following analytical test methods, recording
analytical test results as directed, and
transmitting such test results as directed.
The Lab Technician shall be capable of carrying out
all operations, test methods, and procedures usually
done within the classification.
The Lab Technician shall attend to housekeeping the
Lab Technician’s work area.
The Lab Technician shall perform all duties
pertaining to or connected with this classification
and shall perform incidental work of other
classifications the employee is capable of
performing.
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
Minimum High School or general equivalency diploma
with high school Chemistry and Math courses.
Associate in Science or B.S. Degree in Chemistry
preferred. Three to Five years laboratory experience
in a high paced environment required with H.S.
Diploma, or a minimum of one year laboratory
experience with an A.S. or B.S. Degree.
Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills,
etc.):
An aptitude for Safety, safe work practices, good
housekeeping, and continuous improvement required.
Ability to work in a team environment and to take
personal initiative.
Requires good communication skills.
Basic computer skills needed.
Other Requirements:
Successful candidate must pass written laboratory
math test.
Must be able to meet the work schedule and work
rotating shift as assigned.
Must be able to read and understand procedures in
English.
Must be physically capable of accurate weighing.
Physical requirements include but are not limited to
the ability to bend, stoop, lift, and stand 9 to 10
hours per shift. No allergies to laboratory
chemicals including EPI.
