The Sr. Manager for SEM is a key position responsible for the strategy development and tactical management of Search Engine Advertising (SEA-paid search) and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tactics as part of campaign activities that support LOBs and Corporate Marketing in their online branding, customer experience and lead generation activities and may support both US and European initiatives. The Sr. Manager's role supports the Team Lead for IIM as part of the shared services organization (MGS) for the corporation and for collaboration between the IIM group and Campaign Management, Trade-show and Events, Social Marketing, Insight, and Process Excellence. The Global Sr. Manager will become the de-facto Search Engine Marketing SME and lead the development of SEM competencies within the IIM organization.

7+ years Internet Marketing experience including 5 years SEM experience;
Experience should include work in acquisition, retention, field marketing, online marketing, e-mail, branding, social media, mobile and related techniques;
Working knowledge and experience in copy/writing/editorial process in a marketing environment;
Experience developing strategy and execution for internal and external site linkage ;
Must have experience managing accounts with Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing, and Microsoft Live Search with budgets exceeding $.3 Million per month;
Experience with ad copy development;
Hands on experience with internet analytic tools such as Google analytics, Core Metrics or Omniture;
Comfortable with the "Thinker/Do-er" role;
Project management using tools such as MS Project;
Evidence of involvement in the practice of B2B marketing;
Team management and development;
Mid-level budgeting and financial management;
Experience writing results reports and incorporating same into strategic recommendations as part of a formal planning process;
Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills;
Ability to work independently and deliver results;
Good people skills and the ability to develop consensus within diverse groups;
Strong business acumen and ability to work diplomatically within a highly matrixed and flat organization;
Patience and diplomacy.
Proficiency with MS Office tools.
Advanced degree in marketing, IT, computer science or business management;
Working familiarity with Large Enterprise and SMB constructs. Experience in Hardware, Software and Services marketing preferred;
Documented experience on both the Client and Agency side;
Familiarity with sales force automation support tools, particularly Sales Force.com.
Exposure to financial services and government verticals as well is ideal;
Evidence of operational and technical innovation is highly desirable including work in on-line environments;
International business exposure;
Ability to be creative in anticipating issues and in solving them;
Demonstrated ability to prioritize: a multi-tasker;
Good relationship builder.
