Oracle Application Administrator/DBA-01173591
Work closely with a DoD client to support a 10,000+ workforce across the US and Pacific Rim. Maintain and optimize Oracle 10g and 11g databases on a secure network, including day-to-day database administration, maintenance, data management, and implementation of database STIGs. Work with cross-functional teams, including application managers and system administrators to troubleshoot corporate application anomalies, fix data, user, and application issues by coordinating activities across technical, end-user, and database administration teams. Develop and maintain comprehension of the database architecture and the general application functionality to maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Manage batch processes and internal and external interfaces that provide critical data delivery between numerous mission critical applications and systems. Implement routine and regularly scheduled enterprise software application releases, including those of corporate and other commercial (COTS) and government (GOTS) off-the-shelf software. Provide guidance to application users, testers, developers, and other IT department personnel, including an understanding of functionality, scalability, performance, security, and integration requirements from the database perspective. This position is located in Bremerton, WA.
Basic Qualifications: -2+ years of experience with developing, testing, or maintaining software applications or databases-1+ years of experience with using Oracle 10g and 11g-1+ years of experience with using Oracle RMAN-Knowledge of software engineering integration into software development life cycle-Secret clearance-BA or BS degree-DoD 8570 Cyber Security Workforce-compliant within 6 months of hire date
Additional Qualifications: -2+ years of experience with UNIX-2+ years of experience with SQL or Oracle 10g and 11g-Experience with working in government environment a plus-CompTIA Security+ or equivalent Certification-Oracle OCA or OCP Certification
