Crosspollinate is a new venture starting to build a service in the Social Media Optimization (SMO) space. The current team has a deep expertise in building SaaS, online advertising and marketing, as well as in social media. We are looking for an engineering leader to join the team to help drive the product building effort in this initial phase of growth.

This is a co-founder role and key hire for a new venture in the real-time marketing / SMO space. The company is currently in early beta, building an innovative product with great potential . This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for building a great company.
Design and implement core technologies in fast paced environment, with minimum guidance
Implement robust, highly scalable, highly optimized backend components
Evaluate and integrate third party tools and APIs
Implement core components handling the latest web real-time protocols
Extend current engineering processes in order to scale to larger team
Can manage team of junior engineers if needed

Has show leadership in implementing world-class engineering best practices
Has successfully managed a team of junior engineers
Experience with offshore development a plus
Strong experience in web application architecture (front to back, scalabilty, open APIs)
Previous experience from company that has experienced massive user base growth would be a big plus
Experience building SAAS services

Ability to quickly specify, architect and build (or manage the development) of highly scalable software components
Senior programmer - absolute proficiency in Java Architecture
Experienced in building rich web 2.0 UIs (Ajax, jQuery and the likes) a plus
Knowledge of Google App Engine a big plus
Ability to implement best-of-breed engineering processes, can be fast and thorough (yes that requires talent)

BS Computer Science or Equivalent (top-tier school is a plus)
Initially this is an equity-based position. Part-time and work from home ok, although local SF Bay Area candidates prefered
