Database Administrator


Our main requirements would be:

Strong knowledge of database design principals, data architecture concepts, operational data stores, data warehouses, staging databases and data servicing layers; experience in designing these data architectures.Demonstrated experience in relational database query tuning and indexing strategiesStrong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices, metadata management and associated processes.Experience with one of more of the following database engines: Oracle, SQL Server, and MySQL

Job Duties:

Responsible for the development of enterprise data models at the conceptual and logical levels, be able to identify and promote best practices and patterns for data modeling, and provide oversight activities related to data cleansing, data quality and data consolidation using standard data modeling methodologies and processes.High level of collaboration with IT management, IT Architects, IT Analysts, development staff, and business users in the design, modeling, and implementation of physical database structures to support new and ongoing application development.Generate and maintain logical and physical data models for all phases of application development and data warehousing that adhere industry best practices and corporate and industry standards.Mentor other technical architects, team leads, DBAs and developers.

Experience Guidelines:

Experience with installation, replication, high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options.Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database problems.Experience in using native & third party monitoring and troubleshooting tools.Experience with backups, restores and recovery models.Knowledge of indexes, index management, and statistics.Good communication and documentation skills.SQL based RDBMS (MySQL, MSSQL).

Bonus Knowledge:
Linux and IIS servers.

Experience in using ETL processes
Experience in integrating RETS or MLS.
