Responsible for supporting
(Mercy) and Network in clinical process improvement initiatives.
The Clinical Informatics Analyst provides support in planning, implementing, and evaluating processes and projects related to professional clinical practice, information management and clinical information systems to achieve clinical care transformation.
Baccalaureate degree in health related field, informatics, computers or business required.
Masters degree preferred. If RN or LPN, graduate of an approved nursing program and current licensure in the State of
required. Certification in Informatics preferred. Three to five years of professional experience in health care. A minimum of two years of progressive clinical or administrative experiences that demonstrate success in nursing or expanded roles. Experience with medical/nursing/health informatics preferred. Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, electronic medical record. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships. Ability to manage a team and facilitate groups. Project management skills. Demonstrated ability to operate in a collaborative, shared leadership environment. Excellent communication skills including public speaking, presentation and writing skills. Able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to them as they change. Ability to work under time pressure, able to be involved in multiple projects simultaneously and succeed under an environment of competing priorities. Experience in evaluating research studies. Able to collect and analyze data using valid research methods. Completes Mandatory Reporting requirement within 6 months of hire and renews this requirement every 5 years to maintain nursing licensure.
