The Strategic Sourcing Analyst supports and contributes to the management of assigned medical device categories by:

Contributes to market intelligence activities to support developing medical device category strategies:
Researches supply markets, supply chain dynamics and industry trends
Provides a range of application or systems analytical support to sourcing and business partners
Develops and maintains key supplier profiles for assigned category
Prepares appropriate recommendations and presentations based on research findings and analysis
Supports and contributes to strategic sourcing activities:
Assists in the development of RFIs, RFPs, service level and negotiation documents
Supports the sourcing team in executing the RFI/RFP bid process
Review and analyze supplier proposals
Develops and conducts supplier evaluation analysis
Supports the strategic sourcing team in preparation for internal business and supplier meetings
Maintain effective relationships with internal/external business partners and/or suppliers
Assists with various due diligence activities during the sourcing process
Coordinate and communicate project activities and status on an ongoing basis, escalating issues when necessary
Monitor and tracks strategic sourcing and supplier performance:
Analyzes and produces high quality category spend and savings analysis, compliance reports and commentaries for
assigned category specialty
Assists in developing methodologies for measuring ongoing contract performance to ensure that maximum price/
performance in specific categories are achieved
Assist with the preparation of the financial plan for SharedClarity membership
Assists in the preparation of Supplier business reviews

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing at SharedClarity LLC, and is an integral part ofthe strategic sourcing team. This individual is the analytical and market research expert for specific medical devices within the healthcare industry. They are responsible supporting the development of specific medical device category strategies, leading various strategic sourcing actions, developing analytical tools to evaluate opportunity and track performance to expectations.

Jobs in this family are responsible for effective, organization-wide purchasing of services, materials and supplies in order to maximize cost efficiencies, price leverage and quality while also identifying and mitigating risk to the organization. Typically oversees development of broad internal policies and strategies, specific parameters for procurement, vendor selection and negotiation.

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
At least five years of analyst experience in a purchasing, contracting, supply chain management, and/or strategic sourcing organization.
An undergraduate degree in supply chain management, finance, and/or business administration is required. An MBA is preferred.
Strong analytic, research, and database development/management skills.
Exceptional software skills and knowledge of MS Office (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Good organization, project management and tracking skills.
Strong judgment and discretion in dealing with highly confidential information.
Experience with e-procurement systems preferred.
Web bidding (reverse auctions) experience preferred.
Knowledge of medical device products and industry is preferred.
