We’re looking for a Content Manager to create break-through messaging that conveys the value of Amazon Payments to buyers and sellers. Your goal will be to develop rich information across the customer life cycle – from initial exploration to loyal customer. You will be responsible for owning the content roadmap, as well as delivering and editing seminal content pieces, such as whitepapers, trade show presentations, videos, sales decks, website content, email campaigns, and other collateral. You will understand and recognize the needs of various customer segments to build a cohesive messaging framework and content roadmap that we can leverage as we expand globally.
The Content Manager is responsible for creating effective, useful and attractive content and communications across a variety of mediums. This person will support the growing Amazon Payments team in attracting new customers, communicating effectively with existing customers, driving educational efforts, and supporting other key goals with quality, breakthrough content.
Develop targeted messages based on the key value propositions and use cases.
Create marketing collateral to support campaigns including online, print and video media; manage internal & external agencies and creative partners as needed.
Use compelling and comprehensive data to measure performance of programs and drive innovation.
Assist in developing a content strategy and calendar, comprising case studies, whitepapers, videos, webinars, and other collateral
Manage freelancers and vendors, including editing and project management
Create and maintain an ongoing library of new and updated content through the appropriate medium (email, online, printed, video, etc.) to drive key initiatives.
Ensure that content is accurate and consistent, and adheres to the brand standard.
Engage with international teams to roll out new content and process improvements around the world. Additional Responsibilities:
Develop high-quality communications for major product launches and high priority customer-facing communications.
Assist in defining our messaging, positioning and brand image of Amazon Payments.
Secure all necessary approvals from legal and compliance teams
Develop audience segmentation and personas
Research and test key messages
Interface with our PR on press releases
Excellent verbal and written communications
Conduct research and usability tests on key messaging
Multimedia / video production experience EXPERIENCE
Independent and flexible with strong leadership and communications skills, the successful candidate will have a solid customer focus and extensive experience in editorial/content-focused roles.
BA/BS and/or a graduate degree in business, marketing, or communications
4+ years of relevant work experience in marketing, marketing communications, or public relations—preferably at online or high-tech company
Proven experience creating messaging and other content for technical products.
Experience writing, editing and managing a library of written and multimedia content
Experience producing a diverse range of materials such as white papers, newsletters, presentations, educational materials, tutorials, scripts, blogs, and wikis.
Experience integrating written copy with visual design elements.
Oral and written communications skills
Record of progressive experience and responsibility
Have first class presentation, communication, planning, and leadership skills.

Experience with video storytelling.
