DESCRIPTION
The Aviation Fixed Wing (FW) Instructor Pilot (IP) provides the full gamut of academic, simulator, and flight training to student pilots, in various aircraft and training devices, yet to be determined. Candidate will be a subject matter expert for all related instruction for pilot training students seeking ratings from private pilot to commercial, instrument, and multi-engine.
The selected candidate for this position will perform instruction duties inside the United States (CONUS).
DUTIES
Duties will consist of basic aviation ground school, air traffic control and airspace structure instruction. Performs academic instruction in a classroom environment, to FAA standards, in support of pilot training program according to approved syllabus. Classroom academic instruction includes multiple aviation-related topics, to include table top hands-on instruction. Will also provide curriculum development support when necessary for maintenance of syllabi.
Supports company recruiting and retention initiatives necessary to maintain the highest quality employees.
Supports business development initiatives if and when required by company management.
Performs any and all on-site tasks necessary at CONUS location for a safe, secure, and professional operation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to pass drug screenings. (Required)
Current FAA Class II medical certificate. (Required)
Prior US Air Force, Army or Navy experience. (Desired)
Document showing previous instruction experience in training or operational aircraft and/or civilian rotary/piston/turboprop aircraft. (Required)
Prior U.S. military commissioned officer, warrant officer. (Highly desired)
Bachelor's degree (Highly desired)
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Must be able to create, maintain and update briefings and statistical reporting. (Required)
