Promotes proper image of Indiana Farm Bureau Insurance. Investigates, evaluates, negotiates and concludes all claims assigned in a prompt, fair, courteous and professional manner. Supports the company, and the Manager, P&C regarding all established guidelines and procedures. Reports directly to the Unit Claims Coordinator, P&C from whom overall work direction is received. Also receives direction from District Claims Manager, or from company Specialists.

Required Skills

Requires a High School diploma or GED equivelant. College degree not essential, but a definite asset. Previous work experience recommended which would have provided exposure to working with people, resolving conflicts and completing assignments under limited direction.

Requires effective oral, written and listening communication skills.

Requires excellent telephone communication skills.

Requires understanding of the Company's general philosophy and goals and consistently project the proper Company image and philosophy in dealing with people.

Requires the ability to work independently and make independent decisions. Must demonstrate organizational abilities.

Requires the ability to work the number of hours needed to complete job requirements.

Requires the visual capability to effectively operate the computer system. Familiarity with computer keyboard functions is required.

Requires level specific training as warranted by responsibility.

Location: Marion East Service Center.
