Child Care Worker

School Sites; South bay, San Gabriel Valley and Los Angeles
Non-exempt/part time/ on-call basis
Person will be responsible to provide child care during Parent Meetings. Area for child care watch should be prepared before the meeting starts and cleaned after the meeting is adjourned. The individual will need to provide own transportation.
Position Responsibilities :
Set up child care area.
When needed, assist in the set up of meeting area.
Provide supervision and activities to children 3-10 years of age.
Clean up the child care and meeting areas
Assist with clean up of meeting area as needed.
6 Units of Child Development or one year of experience in supervision of children, baby sitting.
Ability to communicate in Spanish and some English
Ability to engage children in activities.
Ability to travel to sites
- Valid California Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance
- Proof of Department of Justice clearance to work with children prior to the start of employment
- TB Clearance; must be taken within 6 months prior to employment.
- Must meet State Health Requirements, including a physical examination at time of employment
The working conditions and physical demands of this position will be those that must be met to successfully perform the essential duties of the position. The physical environment the incumbent will work in is typically an office environment with moderate noise levels that would be expected in that type of work environment. Outdoor supervision of playgrounds for short periods occurs regularly.
Representative physical demands of the job include: normal vision and hearing, standing for extended periods, sitting for extended periods, kneeling and stooping, manipulating objects with hands, reaching overhead, and occasionally lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 35 pounds
