Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, ambulating, and nourishment as delegated and communicated by a licensed nurse (RN or LPN).
Demonstrate understanding of and provide care according to Standards of Practice and patient’s Nursing care Plan under the supervision of the Primary Caregiver and/or Professional Associate.
Measure and record vital signs, I&O, weights, blood sugar, ADLs, meal intake, and other required documentation in an accurate, concise, and timely manner in accordance with assigned department procedures..
Report changes in patient condition, problematic and unusual circumstances to Primary Caregiver and Professional Associates.
Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and co-workers.
Possess knowledge of the Hospital and national Patient Safety Goals.
Provide care that is patient and family centered.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Must be a High School graduate or equivalent.
Regular attendance is a requirement of this position.
Availability to work 12 hour shifts, may include night shift and weekends.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Preferred candidates will have six months experience in health care or have completed training as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

The PCT in the Float Pool is a valued team member who supports staffing on units throughout the medical center, providing coverage for sick calls and high census.
Orientation and training provided to staff prior to their being assigned to each unit.
The Float Pool PCT cares for close observation patients on a regular basis dependent on facility needs.
They have a regular schedule and are various assigned to units by the Shift coordinator.
