A Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) is a non-professional associate who functions in roles to facilitate both the clinical and office operations. Clinical tasks may include, but not limited to, drug screening, phlebotomy, audiometric exams, pulmonary function testing, breath alcohol testing and assist with physicals and care of injured patients. Clerical tasks may include, but not limited to, making appointments, filing, and a variety of data entry in Systoc. A medical assistant is responsible for performing patient care activities and related non-professional tasks within the scope of training and competence. Flexibility to meet the needs of GRMC as required.
Qualifications
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS PREFERRED:
Prior experience in a clinic or related medical experience.
EDUCATION/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS REQUIRED:
High school diploma / GED
Associate degree as a Medical Assistant
Good communication skills with patients, companies and staff.
