The Senior Research Database Developer will form part of the Research Informatics Applications team that supports ongoing operations. Will assist to develop a next generation software platform for supporting research applications. Contributes to the design and development of next generational platform to support clinical and translational research.
Supports ongoing operations. Is involved in hands on debugging and supporting business logic embedded inside the database such as Stored Procedures. Supports the business activities setup around scheduled jobs and processes. Provides the stability to the ongoing operations of the business units. Understands the code and makes fixes without much hand holding and direction. Researches new technologies, prototypes new methodologies, and stays abreast with the constantly evolving best practices of the industry.
Minimum Education: A BS degree in computer sciences, information management, life sciences or a related field.
Minimum Experience: More than 10 years of work experience.
5+ years in SQL Server administration
10+ years in Database development including SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
5+ years experience in writing reports in SQL Reporting Services or other similar platforms
Strong experience in Transact-SQL
Experience working with ETL tools such as SSIS
Experience in implementing OLAP and OLTP structures
