DUTIES:
The incumbent of this position will serve as the first level supervisor for the Liquidation or the Purchase Team. In this capacity, the incumbent will be responsible for planning the direction of the team activities on guaranteed loans assigned to the Purchase or the Liquidation Teams. The incumbent will plan develop, direct coordinate and evaluate the liquidation and guaranty purchase program of the Center. The incumbent is responsible for the overall guaranty purchase and liquidation of the loan portfolio assigned to the Liquidation or the Purchase Team. The incumbent will determine manpower requirements to accomplish approved workload through the application of manpower staffing standards. They will develop the manpower program and budget for the Center's Liquidation or Guaranty Purchase teams for loans assigned to the National Guaranty Purchase Center.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: GS-13: To qualify at the GS-13 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level working with basic components of credit evaluation to assess factual information and interpret and develop conclusions from financial statements and other related material and performing in-depth analysis of obligator's present and future financial condition in determining the appropriateness of commercial/business loan applications servicing/liquidation actions, including knowledge of a wide variety of collateral, business types, loan programs, and general economic conditions.
Education cannot be substituted for experience at the GS-13 level.

Candidates eligible for veterans' preference will be placed ahead of other candidates in the appropriate category for which they have been rated. Additionally, preference eligibles who have a compensable service-connected disability of at least 10 percent and who meet Minimum Qualification Requirements will automatically be placed in the Best Qualified Category.
