Seasonal Full-time position
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned)
Train and mentor all education staff in appropriate teaching strategies
Assist Teachers in implementing the School Readiness Plan
Maintain a cooperative attitude with all staff in the role of policy implementation, mentoring, advising, and training
Assist with the coordination of teacher's professional development plans
Develop and facilitate training programs for teaching staff during orientation
Guide and provide ideas on classroom/time management, discipline, scheduling, planning, and organizing the day
Assist teaching staff in analyzing and arranging the physical environment of the classroom
Plan, implement, and model activities with children ages birth to 5 yrs, consistent with the curriculum provided
Offer support by listening and sharing own classroom experiences
Promote self-observation and analysis skills among teaching staff
Look for signs of and seek solutions to “teacher burnout”, boredom, lack of enthusiasm, or decline in job performance
Familiar w/CLASS domains and dimensions in order to support pre-school teacher's development
Assist in the collection and analysis of classroom observation data
Implement developmental assessment for each child to determine strengths and concerns
Work Cooperatively with peers, children, parents and area specialists
Implement recommendations of Education Administrator and/or Child Development Specialist
Attend training opportunities and staff meetings
Communicate effectively with others, including giving and receiving feedback
Ability to travel, including overnight and/or out of town travel
Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure and stressful conditions
Continue one's own professional development
Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices
Ensure compliance with CC Idaho, local, state, federal, and other applicable regulations and standards
Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or a degree in a related field along with a Child Development Associate credential (CDA)
Three years experience teaching in an early childhood education setting
Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance
Must pass physical examination and background checks, including state day care clearance
Must obtain clearance of Tuberculosis
Must obtain First Aid and CPR certification
Ability to read, speak, and write in both English/Spanish in a business setting
