Acting as the key interface between the Sourcing & ITO Teams the ITO Specialist conducts Sourcing risk reviews for major ITOs with action plans for risk mitigation. Essential Responsibilities
Ensuring all Sales groups have effective strategic sourcing plans. Each plan should consider any location or product line-specific terms and conditions, and any delivery / quality / cost risk and variation tracking tools (the communication of these plans to operational personnel, Sales colleagues, suppliers and clients will be critical to their successful implementation)

Supporting or driving major sub-contract negotiations as appropriate, ensuring the flow-down of customer terms and conditions where required

Identify and obtain as necessary deliverables from other departments such as Engineering, Quality and Procurement that are critical for bid compilation; if necessary arrange clarification meetings

Developing, implementing and maintaining standard Direct Material cost books to include global and local frame agreements

Ensuring cost estimates are derived from current valid quotes via the approved supply base wherever possible and that the quotes are valid for the duration of tender and any escalation is agreed with the Finance team

Ensuring quoted Direct Material delivery schedules can be met

Ensuring local content requirements are accurately assessed and estimated

Reviewing the Sourcing input to the ITO package for Direct Materials (inputs and assumptions) to ensure costs reflect current market price

Attending ITO kick-off meetings and risk reviews and verifying Sourcing risks have been identified and mitigated as much as possible

Providing feedback to suppliers following the ITO tender process

Delivering a full handover package to the OTR (Order to Remittance) teams on contract award

Providing regular status reports to the ITO team

Ensuring all new suppliers are subjected to the correct level of commercial review and due diligence regarding all forms of compliance Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business or Technical discipline from an accredited university or college (or a High School Diploma / GED with at least 4 years of Sourcing experience)

At least 3 additional years of experience in a Sourcing position

Ability to work under tight time deadlines, with frequently changing priorities Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Sourcing experience, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry

Strong organizational skills, basic project management awareness and business acumen
