Cobalt, a division of ADP is seeking Training Consultant.
The Training Consultant II required supporting Services New Hire and continuing education training programs.
Successfully delivers training programs in an in-person and online virtual blended classroom format to various class sizes and to varying attendee skill sets.
Training conducts will be both synchronous and asynchronous.
Schedules and arranges training sessions for Services personnel including tracking attendance and course completion.
Ensures classroom and training tools are available and configured appropriately prior to all sessions.
Utilizes evaluation mechanism and appropriate testing to ensure Learning & Development (L&D) content is relevant and all performance objectives are met.
Assists in the design and development of instructional materials and leads some launch -related projects.
Partner with Client Services stakeholders, SMEs and management, to define entry and advanced level training solutions.
Provide mentorship and best practice content to other instructors and instructional designers.
Acts as a training liaison between Product Management, Project Management, IS/IT and Services on assigned project and/or deployments.
Responsible for maintaining a thorough knowledge of all Cobalt products and Service processes and tools including providing subject matter expertise on key assigned subjects and projects.
This role entails 50% instructional design and 50% training conducts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Instruction and Delivery
Conducts research and thorough needs assessments and recommends appropriate training strategy and content for a variety of topics relating to Services processes, tools, and Cobalt products
Utilizes existing tools and systems to compliment instruction (e.g. knowledge management, CRM, ANGEL, LMS)
Performs training for Services employees both in the class and online· Responsible for all session scheduling and logistics, including scheduling changes and communication
Conducts "train the trainer" classes to prepare others to provide instruction
Works with other Cobalt departments to identify and schedule SME resources to assist in training/knowledge sharing
Provides real-time product and process expertise to Services personnel as needed
Updates and/or creates necessary knowledge management content specific to key or assigned content Program/Project Management
Responsible for maintaining and updating the Customer Service New Hire training program content and schedule
Represents Services in inter-departmental meetings and functions as it relates to assigned Services specific training (e.g. new product program teams, product launches, etc.) as required.
Conducts and presents needs analysis as it relates to the on-going L&D of CS personnel
Assist in the development and maintenance of the CS mentoring program
Responsible for managing key L&D related projects for CS
Manages training project communication including project meetings, status updates, project communication and messaging; including communications with other Cobalt teams and senior leadership.
Ensure completion of project deliverables and adherence to timelines
Proactively identify changes in work scope and ensure appropriate planning measures are taken with internal and external project team members to reassess and amend the scope of work requirement and timeline
Provide full and accurate project communication with the internal and external clients and vendors
Manage day-to-day activities of multiple assigned projects including coordination of cross-functional teams
Instructional Design & Development
Performs intermediate level of courseware creation and maintenance using Microsoft Office suite
Assists in maintaining all course materials to ensure accuracy and applicability to current products and revisions
Works with key Cobalt departments/resources to identify and maintain accurate Services course content
Collaborates with the instructional designer team on content development and adheres to established design processes Testing, Evaluation and Feedback
Facilitates all student testing specific to all content offered, including monitoring student performance
Evaluates student feedback, training certification test results, and student work performance to identify areas of improvement in training courses
Provides timely feedback to management team on attendee participation and whether attendee(s) are successfully grasping content
Maintains all student records in relation to training courses taken via the Services training program
Works with other Cobalt departments in identifying and facilitating product training environments (e.g. training websites)
Provides subject matter expertise to other instructors and Operations personnel
Writing project documentation and maintaining documentation within assigned tools (e.g. knowledge management, project logs, etc)
Managing quality and assurance efforts specific to assigned projects and team initiatives
Supporting training Lead and/or team manager as necessary
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of adult-learning concepts, principles, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of training industry standards (SCORM, AICC) for developing training content
Knowledge of Internet software, including Internet Explorer and Netscape and associated plug-ins
Knowledge of MS Office suite of products, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Knowledge of multimedia authoring and web-based training methodologies and tools
Knowledge of automotive industry is preferred, but not required
Extensive knowledge of all supportable Cobalt products and services to facilitate education throughout the product life cycle
Knowledge of quality monitoring programs and uses
Ability to apply knowledge management principles and programs
Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, using, tact, judgment, and courtesy.
Demonstrated organization and time management skills
Ability to identify areas for improvement and formulate creative ideas on how to improve them.
Demonstrated ability to instruct training sessions in a formal classroom, meeting, and/or one on one type environments

Experience, Skills, Academic:
PREVIOUS SKILLS OR EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Adult Education, Corporate training or equivalent experience required
- Minimum of five years of related experience in a customer support or Service environment required
- Minimum of five years of experience in course/content instruction or training in classroom or online environment required
- Minimum of two years of Cobalt experience in complimentary technical, product and/or Service focused role
- Minimum of two years of experience in instructional design, technical writing, or equivalent education
- Minimum of two years of experience in developing and presenting information using MS PowerPoint, Adobe Captivate, Adobe connect or similar tools required
- Experience using a Learning Management system (LMS) or like solution is preferred
- Internet experience required
