Serve as station leader in charge of a food production, service or dish area. Assist administrative supervisors in the continuous training of employees. Maintain service and product standards on a consistent basis. Assist administrative supervisors in monitoring food costs, portion control and station presentation. Make recommendations on improvements in operational performance. Wash dishes, prepare food, serve food, set up dining rooms, order food and supplies from storeroom. Work independently as needed. Maintain effective communication with customers, employees and supervisors.
High school diploma/GED.
Two years food service production experience.
Ability to perform all duties of lower level food service workers.
Stable work or education history with good attendance record.
Interpersonal competencies in communication, customer focus and teamwork.
Competencies in judgment, dependability/accountability, flexibility, initiative and planning/organizing.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers, perform basic math functions, lift and move up to 30 pounds, climb ladders and stand, walk, reach and stoop extensively.
Knowledge of sanitation requirements.
Ability to meet daily deadlines.
Ability to work effectively with individuals from different viewpoints and backgrounds.
Experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.
Supervisory experience helpful.
Schedule for this position is mostly days and some weekends.
Occasional overtime may be required.
A Background Check will be required for employment in this position.
FLSA: Non-Exempt (Eligible For Overtime).
Retirement Eligibility: PERF Contributions Immediately.
