Hospitality/Tourism Management: School of Hotel, Restaurant and
Tourism Management, University of South Carolina. The School of
Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management at the University of South
Carolina is seeking a nine-month, tenure-track faculty position at
the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Candidates must have
an earned doctorate by time of appointment. A Ph.D. in Hospitality
and Tourism Management or a related field is required. The position
will have a dual role with the newly-established Center of Economic
Excellence (CoEE) in Tourism and Economic Development. The
candidate's primary responsibility will be to conduct research and
write and win grants to support that research. A strong background
in economics with experience in conducting economic impact and
feasibility studies will be preferred. Applicants are also expected
to teach and, though we will consider expertise in a wide range of
subjects in the hospitality and tourism field, preference will be
given to those who teach finance or events and festivals. Finally,
applicants are expected to participate in service activities of the
