Johnson & Johnson Medical Caribbean, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Regional Communications Manager, located in Latin America. The Regional Communications Manager will provide service for the Region, representing our lines of medical devices.
Johnson & Johnson Medical Caribbean - PR Marketing Division of Johnson & Johnson International, Guaynabo, is the sales and marketing organization for Johnson & Johnson professional products such as sutures and surgical equipment, products for the prevention of infections and injuries in the operating room, cardiovascular products, and diagnostic equipment.
The Regional Communications Manager will support the development and lead the execution of regional internal communications plans for MD&D resulting from major organizational initiatives or changes for MD&D or GMS in Latin America, as needed. Support the development and execution of regional internal communications plans for Global Medical Solutions Group. Responsible for researching, writing and editing organizational communications materials and content, including but not limited to e-mail messages to all employees in the region, internal newsletters, internal news articles, Town Hall presentations, organizational videos, blog posts, etc. Responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing management of new media properties (i.e. intranet, blogs) supporting regional organizational communications efforts. Ensure appropriate approvals for all communications materials. Support the development of regional organizational communications guidelines and ensure awareness and compliance across the organization. Manage communications agencies and consultants to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery of projects. Manage project budgets.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or related field is required. A Master's Degree is preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years of working experience in Communications, including Organizational Communications is required. Previous experience in a regional role a plus. Experience in the medical device industry and Latin America is preferred. Strong working knowledge of new media technologies (i.e. intranet, blogs, etc.) with track record of use in internal communications activities is required. Demonstrated experience developing high-quality and powerful messages and communications for senior executives are required. Extensive experience developing and overseeing the development of high-quality print materials, executive presentations, videos and multi-media presentations is required. Previous experience tracking and managing contract/agency resources and budgets are required. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and either Spanish or Portuguese are required. Able to work flexible hours. Ability to establish positive interpersonal relations and interact with people effectively, work effectively under time pressure and make accurate and assertive decisions accordingly. Demonstrate strong analysis, numerical acuity, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Be proactive, organized, and resourceful, maintain accountability for his/her actions and make good judgment in the performance of his/her duties. Availability to travel fifty percent (50%) of the time within Latin America is required.
