Supervises administrative staff ensuring work activities are completed in a timely, orderly, accurate and effective manner.
Provides business operation and financial analyses to support business process initiatives and department/business line goals.
Develops new and improves current processes and procedures within the work group and across the region enabling efficient business operations.
Supervises steno-clerks which includes, but is not limited to, prioritizing, delegating and monitoring work assignments for accuracy, thoroughness and completeness; develops and enforces cross training ensuring work continuum in the case of absences; coordinates time off requests ensuring proper coverage for work group and/or region.
For employees who report directly to this position, the incumbent approves time tickets, approves time off requests, prepares and presents performance appraisals and if/when necessary documents unacceptable performance and follows through using Corporate policies and procedures.
Works with a variety of information systems and data files, including large and complex files, doing data mining and data extraction, analyzing data quality, providing status and forecast reports, and development of presentation materials for the management team.
Performs financial and operational analyses through collecting and organizing data, and preparing organized reports for the management team.
Maintains and further develops effective interface and interaction with various organizations and regional groups to develop reporting structure and analyze financial data.
Coordinates budget preparation, PUC audit materials preparation, and acquisition and/or maintenance of office equipment and other administrative duties as requested.
Administers the service order system; requisitions services and materials; and oversees invoice payments.
Facilitates process improvement and redesign of current monitoring systems for ease of reporting.
Candidates must meet the basic qualifications to receive consideration.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
2-4 years business operations analysis experience.
Proficiency using MS Office Suite and other database products such as Oracle and Micro-Strategies.
Ability to clearly convey simple and complex material – verbally and written.
Ability to prioritize work assignments with flexibility to quickly adapt to rapidly changing priorities and to a changing environment.
High degree of integrity and respect for maintaining confidential information.
Bachelors degree in Business, Human Resource or Accounting degree.
Ability to successfully interact and interface with employees at all levels within the organization.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong analytical skills dealing with budgets and capital reporting.
