Role/Purpose:
The Program Manager will be responsible for cross-organizational program management of Lithium’s entire Social Customer Suite of products. Reporting to the VP of Product, this person will drive the execution of releases, effectively communicating with multiple groups within the organization to ensure products are released on schedule with high quality.
Responsibilities: Schedule Development:
Build the overall schedule by identifying dependencies and negotiating with 3rd parties / internal teams. Identify multi-cycle feature and schedule issues.
Understand and assess critical paths and dependencies for delivering and shipping products, and facilitate discussions among all functional organizations involved in releasing the product.
Project and Process Management:
Aggregate, organize, and synthesize program and project information in order to communicate with extended team and management
Work on complex problems and issues of diverse scope where an in-depth understanding and evaluation of factors are required to formulate creative solutions for one or more projects or initiatives
Evaluate existing processes and procedures. Make recommendations and drive process improvement and adoption of best practices (processes, tools, etc.) to improve team efficiency and effectiveness.
Manage multiple competing projects or tasks, effectively balancing work between critical short term issues with longer term strategic goals.
Risk / Issue Management:
Bring up and resolve issues in a timely manner, including problems that impact multiple programs and projects.
Perform risk management planning, identification, analysis, management, response, monitoring and control on a program.
Propose workable solutions to complex problems while considering the needs of all groups that are impacted.
Understand and articulate the scope of top issues and how they affect multiple projects or programs.
Influence:
Collaborate with management and peers in group initiatives and assist in driving strategic decisions for projects that are within the individual's direct and team responsibilities. Make recommendations to colleagues on projects outside of individual's direct control.
Effectively persuade and motivate extended project team and management, providing justifiable proposals and recommendations and clearly outlined courses of action to follow.
Develop strategic methods to persuade immediate and extended program team members into deployment of actions.
Assess future challenges on programs and initiatives and mobilize immediate and extended team members to take action, proactively addressing issues before they escalate.
Establish credibility with peers and managers to be a driving force when needed
Cross-functional Communication:
Collaborate with multiple organizations at all levels, and interact with customers and external contacts with professionalism, diplomacy, and finesse.
Effectively facilitate communication, including cross-product, cross-functional and cross-division focus.
Identify and resolve miscommunication across teams and organizations.
Tailor the content and delivery of communication to the target audience.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
