ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Drive the execution of New Product workflow (90% of the time)
Manage new product work flow and deliverables on day-to-day. Manage priorities within portfolio and, negotiate with internal stakeholder or escalate to manager to provide quick remediation on any road blocks or bottlenecks.
Under the guidance of the Product manager or Product Director, manage and coordinate with the cross functional team composed of Product, Engineering and Strategic Sourcing to drive new product launch process.
Develop and maintain complete product data information consisting of competitive feature benefit review, competitive interchange, product description and function, product numbers and break down and pricing information and rationale.
Provides technical expertise and training to other departments in support of product development.
Support inside personnel (i.e. Customer Service, Inside Sales Telemarketing, etc.) by providing technical product information.
Provide direction to the Application Engineering group to assist in the development of complete application guides.
Support the development of the Category Strategy (10% of the time)
Support the development of product trend and product gap analysis. Support analysis of new product opportunities and market conditions through trade shows, customer visits and field research.
Perform analysis to support defining/updating the Category Strategy including “Right To Win”, “SWOT” analysis, profitability analysis…
Support in the development of supply and commercial market analysis
Support product portfolio profitability, market share, growth rate analysis.
