As a member of the Utilities Business Unit within Professional Services & Delivery, this person will coordinate all aspects of a product or service offering project for a client, from inception to installation. The primary objective is to drive consulting revenue in the Utilities industry.
Drive implementation life cycle for programs from inception through delivery for new and upgraded professional services.
Generate and drive program schedules, milestones, and phase review processes.
Maintain alignment of program scope with strategic business objectives and make recommendations to adjust program scope to align with strategic business intent.
Create and communicate implementation vision and approach to sales and customers/prospects.
Build collaborative relationships with resources from R&D, Marketing, Sales Support, Alliance Partners and other PSD teams (Risk Advisory, Global teams, other BUs) to assess customer needs and prepare quality recommendations and service offerings.
Monitor active projects portfolio and serve as a mentor to other Project Managers.
Engage on large-scale, complex projects and serve as a sponsor and point of escalation for issues.
Assess and monitor risks, recommend and manage mitigating actions commensurate with risk levels.
Identify new software or services opportunities within the account and communicate to the Account and/or Professional Services management team.
Work with functional and constituent managers/project managers to define requirements for resources, and coordinate the sharing of resources.
Use program and portfolio management accountability methods and processes to ensure quality programs.
Works closely with the Business Unit Director in an operational capacity to run the business.
Bachelor's degree, preferably in a quantitative or business related field; with
8 years of experience in project management, technical customer support, sales, marketing, and/or applications development
Program Management Professional (PgMP) credentials acquired or is in the process of acquiring
Associate's degree in the same fields with an additional 2 years of stated essential qualifications - or -
High school diploma (GED) with an additional 4 years of stated essential qualifications
Strong understanding of project management and solution delivery methodology
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to organize, assess, orchestrate, and prioritize tasks, risks, resources, milestones and deliverables
Strong presentation and written communication skills including a proven ability to write business plans, create methodologies, and produce project plans
Ability to build credibility, establish rapport and maintain communication with stakeholders at multiple senior levels, including those external to the organization
Ability to communicate technical concepts, architectures, designs, program strategies and tactics clearly
Proven record of on-time delivery of high quality implementations
Travel as business requirements dictate at management discretion
Utilities Industry experience
