As a Senior Consultant, this individual will provide hands-on leadership for consulting projects focused primarily on workplace strategies and research, benchmarking, facility programming, occupancy planning, change management and other client-focused activities. This person will build and maintain effective relationships with clients and prospects to generate new business opportunities. We are looking for a highly proactive candidate with strong written and oral communication skills and industry experience who values collaboration, sustainability, integrity and our clients' ultimate satisfaction with the services we provide.
Serve as Lead Consultant and/or Project Manager on mid-size projects while supporting an extended team on larger assignments.
Provide hands-on content leadership for consulting projects in a variety of market sectors and/or facility types.
Build and maintain effective relationships with clients and prospects to generate new business opportunities.
As part of a project team, meet with project leadership and the client to define expectations with regard to quality, budget and deliverables.
Build, maintain and successfully deliver on project plans that meet our client's needs within the schedule and budget that has been established.
Participate in business development and marketing efforts, including interviews and proposal writing.
As project requirements dictate, travel up to 30% of the time within the region.
Manage team activities.
Excellent verbal and written skills required; ability to leverage social media for professional uses is desirable.
Ability to organize the project team, files, communications and documentation with high degree of quality assurance.
Well-grounded knowledge and ability to creatively use analytical and problem-solving techniques; distill complex information to the essential elements needed for client decision making; draw conclusions and record them concisely; produce error-free analytical work.
Quality engagement of clients, partners and prospects; maintain professional, positive, well-documented client communications.
Ability to summarize project and client experience, compile benchmarking data and produce planning guides; write and coordinate engaging client reports and deliverable text clearly and comprehensively; manage quality control review of documents produced by the team.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; REVIT or additional graphic skills welcome.
Ability to monitor project progress against budget and schedule; keep project accounting information/budgets current; review and send project invoices after review with Project Principal.
Possess collaborative, inclusive, engaging, inquisitive, and creative demeanor.
Fluency in languages other than English is not required, but is desirable.
Professional degree in Architecture, Real Estate, Interiors, Environmental Design, Planning, Business, Finance or related field.
Additional experience in research, marketing, sustainability, psychology and/or organizational development will be considered favorably in the selection process.
LEED AP or GA is required; if not at date of employment, then within the first year of employment.
Prior Work Experience:
Minimum of eight years of previous experience in similar or complementing role, including experience in two or more building types and/or markets.
