This position will perform a variety of duties to support the Underwriters, Risk Analysts and Financial Control in their daily job duties. The position will support the areas to help mitigate risk and monetary loss associated with merchant relationships. Provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
Support Underwriters with new application and the Annual Review process by compiling required documentation in preparation for the underwriting and approval process of a merchant account. Collection of data for packages to include, pulling credit bureaus, OFAC, TMF and IRS searches, as well as, preparation of other documentation as outlined in the Underwriting approval checklists.
Prevent monetary losses associated with non-compliance of card associations’ regulations, fraud, customer errors, contractual agreements and others areas related to acquirer card processing. Provides quality service and support to internal and external customers.
Maintain a working level of knowledge regarding the card associations’ rules, regulations and compliance related to cardholder disputes and merchant resolution options. Monitor unusual activity to identify areas of potential risk. Act upon any areas that may pose a monetary risk.
Review merchant maintenance requests. Analyze to ensure proper signatures for request and proper merchant documentation on file.
Financial Control: This position will work with the Financial Control area to perform a variety of duties to ensure accuracy of debit and credit postings to internal checking and general ledger accounts. Perform reconciliation, auditing, posting, research and investigation of discrepancies.
Work on special reports, assignments and projects as needed. This position will also be back-up support for all positions in the Risk areas during vacations and on an as needed basis.
High School Diploma
Prefer experience in the card acceptance industry
Effective Written and Customer Service/telephone communication skills; listening and analytical skills are essential.
