The WJB Dorn Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in Columbia, SC is seeking a Psychiatrist for our Primary Care and Mental Health Integration section. The incumbent is responsible for applying clinical and administrative skills in reviewing, assessing and evaluating patient care processes for appropriateness of care across the continuum of care in both Primary Care and Mental Health utilizing a Patient Centered Care approach. The incumbent effectively communicates with physicians, nurses and other health care providers in obtaining or verifying data for review and formulating a plan of care. The incumbent has a thorough knowledge of patient medical records and is able to retrieve pertinent information from multiple sources/packages for case review (e.g.,CPRS, VistA, etc.). The incumbent demonstrates skills to facilitatean environment for patients, staff and family members to focus on recovery and outcomes oriented care.
