Service Center located in Tulsa,OK
The Service Technician is responsible simple and complex repairs to all portable electric and pneumatic tools, radial arm saws, electric pumps and generators, light construction equipment, as well as household and other repairable Stanley Black & Decker tools and products.
The day-to-day activities of the Service Technician include but are not limited to receiving products in need of repair, diagnosing fault by testing on electrical or air test equipment; fully or partially disassembling unit to examine components for wear/defects and replacing parts that are worn or defective; testing reassembled electric products and checking al repaired products; may be asked to convert tools to special voltage, change speeds, etc.; prepare work orders with prices and record pertinent customer information for Service Reps/Coordinators or mobile coordinators; assists with maintenance of shop equipment and maintains clean and safe work environment; observes all safety practices and makes suggestions for approval; and may train other technicians as needed.

The successful candidate for the Service Technician position must be a High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED) and also have the ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics and printed servicing data for our products; must have demonstrated knowledge of electricity and air principles as it applies to a power source for power tools; must have the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools, small household appliances, radial arm saws, and light construction equipment; must be dependable, reliable and need minimal supervision; must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations; must be able maintain appropriate conduct in and out of the service center environment when representing Stanley Black & Decker; must be able to adhere to the company’s service policies at all times; and must possess pride in the quality of work production as well as be result focused from a team perspecti
