Performs a variety of administrative and technical support functions in the areas of personnel, supply, training, and budget reporting.
Coordinates telephone control, forms control, charge card control, time and attendance, and records management.
Uses office automation to consolidate, prepare, and edit various reports ensuring accuracy of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and format.
Reviews and routes information, data, reports, and requests received requiring response.
Maintains tasking and suspense system determining required action and follows up on taskings.
Consolidates information and data received for budget submitted, prepares budget reviews, and monitors and assists in the preparation of budget estimates.
Serves as the hand receipt holder for property book items and maintains records to account for turn in or transfer of equipment.
Serves as the training coordinator and provides assistance in coordinating the incentive awards program. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-04) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized experience is defined as performing a variety of administrative support functions which includes providing administrative, technical and general office support duties to an organization; providing support and assistance on personnel, supply, training, and budget reporting and processes; utilizing office automation to create, retrieve, update, manipulate and store electronic data; and preparing, editing and formatting documents and reports.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Four years of successfully completed education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation, or the equivalent, is a prerequisite may be substituted to meet the specialized experience requirement. Equivalent combinations of successfully completed education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements. If you are using education to substitute for specialized experience, you must submit transcripts (official or unofficial) or some form of proof of your education. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education . Failure to provide documentation at the time of processing, or a determination that you do not possess sufficient education and experience to meet the total qualification requirements, will result in an ineligible rating.

Best Qualified Category . Meets the minimum qualification requirements and demonstrates experience as an expert in the field or recognized as a senior specialist, team lead, etc.
Application of Veterans Preference: The Category Rating Method does not add veterans' preference points or apply the "rule of three," but protects the rights of veterans by placing them ahead of non-preference eligibles within each category. Preference eligible's who meet minimum qualification requirements and who have a compensable service-connected disability of at least 10 percent must be listed in the highest quality category, except when the position being filled is scientific or professional at the GS-9 grade level or higher. The Assessment Questionnaire takes approximately 15 minutes to complete and collects information on your education, training and experience related to the following critical competencies:
Administration and Management: Knowledge of planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production.
Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Office Automation: Use office automation hardware (Personal computer, scanners, fax machines, multi-line telephones) and software (word processing, spreadsheet and databases) to prepare and edit documents, correspondence and reports.
Communication: Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
