As part of the ADF product suite, ADF Mobile extends Oracle Application Development Framework to mobile users. Using Oracle JDeveloper, application developers can rapidly develop mobile applications that support mobile users accessing critical business data through either on-device mobile client or mobile. This team is responsible for architecting and developing the software infrastructure to assist development of applications delivered to mobile devices through a browser.
About the Role
This position is located at our Atlanta, GA office. We are seeking a hands-on Development Manager with design and development skills in mobile computing. The ideal candidate has an extensive background in commercial enterprise application and/or tool development, as well as experience in mobile platform development. Candidates will be responsible for managing a team of developers to create the framework and web components using Javascript and AJAX to support both the run-time and design-time aspects of this architecture. This position will be responsible for development management, technical direction and overall development of the run-time aspects of the mobile platform. The main goal of this role is to guide and direct the development team and produce the framework that other Applications teams and external customers will use. Software development lifecycle, experience with development processes and interactions with QA/PM/RM are critical skills. Manage a team that designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc. As a manager of the software engineering division, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture to manage software development tasks associated with developing, debugging or designing software applications, operating systems and databases according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and occasionally suggest improvements to the architecture. Leads a specialized area which may have diverse functional elements. Frequently interacts with supervisors and/or functional peer group managers. May interact with senior management. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically one year of software engineering or related experience.
