Guam, Micronesia, Full-Time/Year-Round SUMMARY:

Any person performing the duties of an inspector is acting as an authorized representative of the
Inspection Department, under the direction and authority of the Director of Quality Control, for the duration of the assignment. (121.371(b))

  • Accomplishes the duties and responsibilities of an Inspector
  • Performs designated Required Inspection Items (RII) as assigned
  • When performing Parts Receiving inspections:
    • Inspects aircraft parts and materials to ensure compliance with 14 CFR regulations and Company policies and procedure
    • Provides guidance and instruction to Parts personnel to ensure parts are handled, stored, and protected in accordance with Company policies and procedures, best industry practices, and 14 CFR
  • Assists with completion of shift turnover reports per the GMM (as applicable)
  • Participates in shift meetings and briefings as required
  • Conducts On-the-Job Training as assigned by the Director of Quality Control
  • Properly executes maintenance work records
  • Maintains the Maintenance and Parts work areas in a clean and orderly condition
  • Adheres to material handling and control procedures specified in the GMM and by the equipment manufacturer(s)
  • Oversees Maintenance performance and associated documentation to ensure it is accomplished in accordance with FARs, manufacturers approved data and Company policies and procedures
  • Supervises facilities, including Parts, to ensure policies and procedures contained in the GMM are being followed
  • Performs Audit Functions under the direction of Director – Quality Control
  • Acts as Fuel Service Manager for the part 121 Operation
  • May be released to perform Maintenance Functions only with express authorization of DQC
  • Additional duties as assigned

  • Current FAA A&P Certificate
  • QA/Inspector background preferred
  • IA preferred
    • Successful completion of Formal OJT program or Fleet Qualification training
    • Airworthiness Release and RII for Company aircraft (as applicable for assigned tasks)
    • Aircraft system familiarization training and completion of OJT program if not fleet qualified
    • Company GMM training
  • Must exhibit exceptional knowledge of Cape Air and must embody the Cape Air MOCHA HAGoTDI spirit
  • Please note this is a safety sensitive position which requires CHRC clearance and DATP enrollment in accordance with the FAA Code of Federal Regulations
