ROLE SYNOPSIS

Baker Hughes is seeking an experienced

Dispatcher

to maintain an effective communications link between the operations base, customers, and employees. Will dispatch equipment and personnel as specified and maintain records of communications and dispatching activities. Receives phone, mail, fax and other communications from customers and will ensure good customer relations. Ensure that critical information is communicated to appropriate manager or other staff. Will handle special projects, as assigned and assist employees as needed. Track visitors and deliveries, assist timekeeper with time for out of town crews.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES

Receive customer calls requesting our services and obtain necessary information such as well depth, hole size, pipe size, location, time service is required, and nature of work desired.

Answer other phone calls for office, management, engineering and sales personnel and direct calls accordingly.

Notify designated Service Supervisor, crew and other employees regarding job information.

Coordinates wake-up calls, directions and instructions for crew.

Complete load sheets, track fueling for equipment, and maintain manpower status boards.

Assists with District clerical duties as necessary.

Good verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent organizational skills.

Basic computer navigation skills.

Ability to adjust work schedule to business needs.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Ability to work 12 hour night shift with scheduled on call days

Experience with multi-line phone systems

DESIRED / PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to work well and communicate well with others SAP experience

Knowledge of DOT regulations

Prior oil field experience

1 year of dispatching experience

Prior experience tracking drivers hours per DOT regulations

HAZMAT experience
