Liberty Mutual Personal Markets is actively searching for an experienced Associate Department Application Specialist. In this role you will assist in the development, execution and maintenance of process and automated solutions to ensure operational effectiveness and continual improvement. As a member of the Data Team, you will be responsible for conducting analysis and research of specific departmental applications to improve data quality, application performance and customer experience. You will analyze and document business problems, and develop and execute test plans when appropriate.

Responsibilities:
Assist with solving routine systems operational and support problems.

Generate operational reports for management using various database querying tools.

Maintains a strong understanding of department operations and develops appropriate systems to create operating efficiencies.

Analyzes system changes, enhancements and new programs appropriate for departmental needs and objectives.

May be assigned to perform business analysis tasks including: specifications writing, test planning, testing, procedure and operational manual writing, data entry, presentation design and production materials, spread sheet and graphics production.

May be assigned to perform workflow, process and data analysis for minor system enhancements and small projects.

May assist with evaluating business requirements, system requirements and data models for new projects.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business or technical discipline and 1 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Knowledge of business operations, objectives, and strategies as well as business process and information flow.

Ability to perform analysis and problem solving to create operating effectiveness through manual and automated systems.

Oral and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and SQL querying language preferred.
