ALLEGHANY HIGHLANDS COMMUNITY SERVICES HAS AN OPENING FOR HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER Major duties include providing coordination and leadership in the various human resource functions, which include recruitment, staffing, training, compensation and classification administration, benefits administration, performance monitoring, personnel data base management, employee relations, and policies and procedures. The successful candidate must function as an HR Generalist. S/he will have extensive knowledge of human resources and organizational development practices and principles including a demonstrated proficiency with applicable laws/regulations. Bachelor's Degree, PHR or SPHR and 5 years of recent and related experience preferred. A candidate with public agency experience is highly desired. A combination of recent and related education and experience may be considered. o Proficiency with MS Office Suite Required and HRIS systems. o Demonstrated experience with project and resource management and ensuring objectives are met and deliverables are on-time and on-budget. o Ability to persuade, influence and build rapport with stakeholders from various background and education levels. o Culturally competent and sensitive to the needs of employees across the socio-economic spectrum. o Strong written and verbal communication skills. o Accuracy, flexibility, timeliness and the ability to synthesize information. o Self-starter with strong time management and multi-tasking skills. Able to work under pressure, managing several complex assignments with multiple and tight deadlines. o Travel as appropriate.
