The Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services is currently seeking a temporary, part-time (20 hours per week) clinician position to provide comprehensive clinical services to chemically dependent individuals enrolled in the Adult Drug Court Program and their families. The position will provide assessment and evaluation; individual, group, and family therapy; case management, including medication case managemen; crisis intervention and stabilization; and interagency consultation and coordination of treatment services. Works as a member of a team in conjunction with the Circuit Court and all participating Drug Court agencies and personnel. Maintains all clinical records and documentation according to federal, state and agency policies and procedures. Must be knowledgeable in both substance abuse and mental health issues; must demonstrate the ability to function as a member of a clinical team.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Requires Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling and/or marriage and family therapy and three years professional experience in the provision of substance abuse and mental health treatment services. Must be VA clinical license eligible.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Formal training in treatment of substance abuse and mental health issues preferred. VA clinical license as LPC, LMFT, LCSW, or LCP preferred.

POST CONDITIONAL OFFER CONTINGENCIES

Employment is contigent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, driving record check, and TB test. Must have a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
