ME FW Debug Engineer
A Firmware Debug Engineer on the Client Applications Engineering team is responsible for debug and resolution of issues related to the Manageability Engine (ME) Firmware on customer designs. Debug includes working on Firmware, BIOS, HW, and other platform components related to the Manageability Engine. The candidate will solve ME related issues as reported by HP, Dell, Apple, Lenovo, and other customers on Desktops, Notebooks, and Ultrabooks.
It is an excellent opportunity to get customer experience through a very technical role. The role will give the opportunity to learn about many platform components beyond firmware, including BIOS, hardware, LAN, and others. This role requires an energetic attitude towards problem solving and interaction with many organizations in several GEOS, including Field, internal customer facing engineers, as well as development, validation and architecture teams, resolving issues together. The candidate will be joining a mature functional team that excels at deep technical issue resolution.
Bachelors degree in appropriate engineering discipline
3 + years of experience with debug / troubleshooting skills across all aspects of computer hardware and software related to source code level debugging, Power Management, BIOS, Boot Flows, and System Networking. OS development and debug.
3 + years of experience with computer architecture: power sequencing, BIOS execution, networking, OS driver model.
2 + years of experience in SW / BIOS / FW development. Linux and real time OS experience a plus.
2+ years of Firmware experience with the Manageability Engine
Master's Degree in appropriate engineering discipline
